Referee quartet from Eritrea to officiate CAF match

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Confederation Cup enters the quarter final stage this weekend with Warri Wolves and Bayelsa United set to move into the last but one lucrative league stage, just as Nigerians referees have continued to find favour with CAF.

Bayelsa United will jet out on Thursday to Zimbabwe, to face How Mine FC at Boubafiels Stadium, Bulawayo. The referees for the clash are Mensur Kherseed, Angeson Ogbamariam, Berhe O’Michael and Luelseghed Gherbremichael are from from Eritrea.

Warri Wolves who play at home first, have a tough encounter against Club Athletic Bizertin of Tunisia. Moroccan referees Noureddine El Jaafari, Mohammed Lahmidi, Abdelaziz Mehraji and Mournir Errahmani are in charge with Ghanaian W. K Aggrah as Match Commissioner.

The match holds this Sunday in Warri Nigerian Referee Joshua Amao, assisted by Peter Edibi, Robert Aundugh and Ferdinand Udoh as fourth Official are billed to handle the return leg match involving Zesco Utd and Medeama of Ghana. The match is billed next week end in Lusaka, Zambia.

If the Nigeria teams scale through this round, they will be up against drop outs from the CAF Champions League to determine qualification to the Group stage.
