QNA, Doha - An Eritrean cultural festival including a gallery and traditional handicrafts and songs will be held in Doha from July 23 to 25.
Eritrean Ambassador in Doha Ali Ibrahem Ahmad told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the festival is the first of its kind in the State of Qatar.
It will be the prelude to further joint cultural work that aims to consolidate the bilateral relations in light of the attention paid by the leaderships of the two brotherly countries.
The Eritrean Ambassador noted that the festival, which will be opened by Eritrean presidential advisor Abdallah Jabir, comes in the context of the close relations between the Qatari and Eritrean peoples.
The event represents an opportunity to introduce the heritage and different cultures of the Eritrean people; and one of the communication mechanisms between the two fraternal peoples, he said.
