Isaias Afwerki
March 02, 2014 (Doha) - Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki arrived in Doha Sunday on a working visit to the country reports Qatari News Agency QNA.
The Eritrean President and the accompanying delegation were welcomed by officials upon arrival at Doha International Airport.
HE the Minister of Municipality and Urban Planning Sheikh Abdurrahman bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani and HE the Eritrean Ambassador to Qatar Ali Ibrahem Ahmad received the President at arrival in Qatar’s capital.
Update (March 02, 2014 CET 20:46 pm): The Prime Minister and Interior Minister HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani met with Isaias Afwerki. Talks during the meeting dealt with areas of cooperation between the two countries and means of enhancing and promoting them.
Further, HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of Eritrea Isaias Afwerki held a round of talks at the Emiri Diwan Premises here before noon on Sunday.
A number of their excellencies the ministers attended the talks which were also attended by their excellencies members of the delegation accompanying the Eritrean president.
HH the Emir later hosted a luncheon banquest in honour of Isaias Afwerki and the accompanying delegation. He arrived in Doha earlier today on a working visit to Qatar, according to QNA.
