Ice rain in Asmara 18 July 2012: Photo Shabait
Asmara, 18 July 2012 – Heavy rainfall accompanied with ice was witnessed today in Asmara city and surrounding areas.
The heavy rain gauged 62 mm, according to a report by the Meteorology Information Service.
No harm was ensued although flooding in some areas of the capital had caused traffic chaos for a while, besides the buildup of small quantities of ice.
Reports also indicated that commendable distribution of rain showers has been witnessed in different areas of the Southern region.
