Felony charges against Mordechai Michael Tzerki, 59, who stabbed an Eritrean infant in the head revealed that the incident should be treated as a hate crime.
Tzerki, told police after his arrest that he stabbed the baby “because I hate them, they’re black and they make a real mess.”
He also said, that he attacked black terrorists, referring to the baby, and that he was trying to stop “black terror,” according to information obtained by the Jerusalem Post.
When he was asked what he was trying to accomplish, he told police he “wanted to kill her, I didn’t try to kill her I was certain that I did it…the daughter of a whore died? The baby is dead? I’m sure she’ll die.”
He added that he committed the crime as “a sword of vengeance for the whites against the terror against white people.”
The one-and-a-half-year-old Eritrean baby was badly wounded in the attack, with the scissors piercing deep into her skull and causing internal bleedings.
Tzerki, was caught after the mother of the baby chased him down the road, eventually drawing a crowd that held him until police arrived.
The attack occurred from behind as Tzerki managed to approach the baby unnoticed with the intent to kill. Shortly after the incident police statements read that the man was very drunk and mentally ill, and that the incident was not personal or believed to be racially motivated.
