AXMIN Appoints Vice President of Exploration

TORONTO, ONTARIO-(Marketwire - April 17, 2009) - AXMIN Inc. (TSX VENTURE:AXM) announces the appointment of Francois Auclair effective May 19, 2009 as the new Vice President of Exploration for the Company, further to the resignation of Dr Jonathan Forster.

Mr. Auclair is a Geologist with over 20 years of experience in mining exploration and project development for multinational mining companies. Francois has held senior roles with Dia Bras Exploration, Rio Narcea Gold Mine and Nevsun Resources. Of note Mr Auclair has worked in the African continent for many of his 20 years experience, and has been important in the development of several large projects and mining operations such as the Bisha Project in Eritrea, the Bolivar Mine in Mexico and the Tasiast Mine in Mauritania. He holds a M.Sc. in Geology and Geochemistry from Universite de Montreal and is fluent in English and French. Mr Auclair will replace Dr Forster as AXMIN’s in house Qualified Person, being a member in good standing
